Visiting Zion National Park, Utah USA

One of the most visited national parks

I recently visited Zion National Park this autumn for the first time, and how I was blown away! Zion is a massive canyon, in the southern portion of the US state of Utah. Whether you are into hiking or not, the views you can get of this amazing landscape are good no matter where you are inside the canyon. I loved my trip to Zion National Park so much that I wanted to be able to share here with you to get you excited too. Being one of the most popular national parks in the US, Zion sees an annual visitation of over 4 million! Make sure you have your camera at the ready, for Zion offers some truly amazing photography opportunities.

Check out this great video I found, giving you a taste of what you can experience at Zion National Park.

Miles of hiking trails

Within the park there are miles of hiking trails, some of which take you all the way to the top of the canyon. The amazing views you can get from the angels landing trail are like none other. You can see in the video that some of the trails get pretty crowded. I am glad that I went in the fall, the weather was perfect and there were much less people out and about on the trails.

Where to stay in Zion National Park

You are able to camp within Zion as well. I stayed a few nights a couple of different campsites. Just remember that you will need to pack out everything that you bring in with you. If you are traveling in a campervan they have spots for these as well. Make sure you check before going to make sure there is availability in spots for you, especially if you are going during the busy season (may – September).

Entrance fee

As of the time I am writing this, the park fee for Zion is only $12 for a seven day pass.
